As was the case last month, we’ve got a holiday-shortened trading day today. The stock market is open all day, but the bond market is closing early at 2 p.m.
As we noted last month, holiday-shortened sessions like today’s are often low-volume, which makes them poor days to trade large quantities of certain ETFs involved in DAA. Plus we’ve got a few asset classes with relatively close momentum scores, so we’d prefer to see the full month’s data before making the final decisions for January.
As a result, we’ll be evaluating the final December data after the market closes today and will post the Dynamic Asset Allocation updates for January tomorrow.
Happy New Year everyone!
